Supporting Students
Students form the core of the Black Cultural Center’s mission. The Center has offered programs to encourage the success and wellbeing of students of color on campus and in their futures.
Orientations
The Center has hosted orientations, retreats, and mixers for incoming students of color to learn more about the university and meet other students.
Peer Mentorship
The Center administers the Reaching Achievement and Committed to Excellence (RACE) minority mentor program, which provides students of color an opportunity to share and receive guidance on campus resources, learn strategies for academic success, and socialize with other students.
Academic Success Sessions
The Black Cultural Center has offered workshops designed to help students develop skills such as time management and studying to encourage their academic success.
